Fauzan Qadri
Backend & Distributed Systems Consultant
Summary
Principal engineer with about a decade across payments, merchant platforms, and lending. I design systems around clear data contracts: Kafka event schemas, idempotent consumers, durable workflows, and CQRS read models, and I keep them correct under load. I write the architecture down, so a team can extend it without me in the room.

Rule-driven debt-collection engine
Worked on the orchestration core for a multi-channel debt-collection engine on a Southeast-Asian fintech lending platform. A rule-driven pipeline decides which collection action each delinquent loan should receive, on which day, across desk-call, field-visit, and messaging channels.

Stopped a stream-processing consumer from running out of memory on the heaviest events, by stripping an unused multi-megabyte field at the byte level before any JSON parser allocated it. The same idea applies to every Go consumer in the fleet.

2023 to Present
Lending platform. Architecture and backend work on the debt-collection engine and the event-driven services around it: rule-driven evaluation over a multi-million-case book, durable workflows, CQRS read models, and the reliability work behind them.
2019 to 2023
Merchant platform team. Built merchant onboarding and the authentication service for the restaurant and business apps, serving hundreds of thousands of profile and login requests.
2014 to 2019
Payments. Early engineer on the Snap hosted payment page, which lets merchants integrate once and start accepting payments. Then a team building a rule-based fraud-detection system over hundreds of thousands of card transactions. Midtrans was acquired into the Gojek group during this time, which led to my move to the merchant platform team.
